Why do cats chase their own tail?

When you’re looking forward to something, why is it nearly always a complete disappointment?

When you’re in need of some peace and quiet, why is it then that everyone seems to want to talk to you!

Why do cats always want to go into the plastic bag you’re trying to put things in!

Why do we look at our watches so often during the day…try going a whole day without wearing your watch and you’ll see what I mean.

Why is it always a document you’ve spent hours working on that you find has lost the changes you made?

Why do we all get so annoyed and opinionated when we’re watch a football match!

Why do bad things always seem to come in threes?

Why does it always rain on days when you don’t have an umbrella or a jacket?

and finally…

Why am I addicted to blogging!!!

I’m sure like me, at various points in your life, you have had different people you would looked up to, people you considered to be your role model. Maybe one of the following:

Any of those suggestions triggering any memories, distant or recent, for you?

I remember when I was in my early teenage years, sitting in one of our Sunday services, I obviously wasn’t paying attention (oops!) to what was actually going on in the service as I was looking round those there identifying those who I felt had influenced my life in some way – and yes there were a few. Now thinking back on that occasion I find it quite scary to realise that I am now about the same age as some of those people I identified that day as influences on me!

Why do I find that scary? Well there may be some youngster sitting somewhere doing what I was doing that Sunday, and it scare me to think that they may be identifying me as their role model  – what a huge responsibility!

Am I a good role model? What can I do to ensure I am a good role model? All questions that have now been going through my mind. My answer – continue to trust God to guide me and prayer that others may see a little of Him through me.

We can all be role model for God today and everyday – you may be someone else role model and never know it, so be all you can be for God.
