Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning.
Everything good that happens to you, your friends and your family, is because of God. God sends us gifts in the form of people, situations, opportunities, knowledge and ideas all because He loves us and will do all He can to help and guide us.
Don’t get complacent about everyday things and activities, by forgetting to say thank you to God for all He provides for us.Always remember God loves you and will do all He can to help you.
I’m sure we’ve all come across people who constantly go on and on and on about things. They can drain the enthusiasm and energy from you can’t they!
But not all things that go on and on forever are bad – One thing I know which goes on and on forever and is definitely all good is God’s love. God’s loves me and He loves you, He loves everyone, and He has promised to love each and every one of us forever. How great is that!
I’d just as soon try and count The stars up in the sky And look for all the raindrops in The river rolling by Stand a better chance to know How many granders sail Than to measure the love there is Between His outstretched hands
Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on Oooh, God‘s love
Forever on and on (On and on)
Every passing hour shows The time is running out The voice of Heaven is calling out To a heart that’s losing ground Though the pain in this world we know Is coming to an end (The face of God) In the face of God, we see An eternity begin
Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on God’s love Forever on and on Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on (On and on) Hey
Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on Oooh, God’s love Forever on and on God’s love Forever on and on (ooh) Oh, God’s love Forever on and on (forever on and on)
His love is forever and ever on and on
Never ending, never failing Always loving on and on
Never ending, never failing Always loving on and on
Never ending, never failing Always loving on and on
Never ending (It’s never ending) Never failing (It’s never failing) Always loving (It’s always loving) On and on (Forever)
Never ending (It’s never ending) Never failing (It’s never failing) Always loving (It’s always loving) On and on (Forever)
Never ending, never failing Always loving on and on
Never ending, never failing Always loving on and on
So you’re a Christian, but have you really given everything you have, and every part of you to God?
God needs and wants us to give him our all. So fall down on your knees and worship God today and every day.
In bowing down before God each day we are promising to serve Him, to serve the King of Kings - Have you promised to serve the King of Kings?
King of Kings, Majesty by Jarrod Cooper
King of Kings, Majesty, God of heaven, living in me Gentle Saviour, closest friend, Strong Deliverer, Beginning and End All within me falls at Your throne
Your Majesty, I can but bow I lay my all before You now In royal robes I don’t deserve I live to serve Your Majesty
Earth and heaven worship You, God Eternal, Faithful and True Who bought the nations, ransomed souls Brought this sinner near to Your throne All within me cries out in praise
Is it just me or would you agree that one of the worse things we can see, is a child in distress? It’s even worse when we know there is nothing we can can do to help ease the child’s pain.
I came across the following poem by M.S.Lowndes which was dedicated to children with terminal illnesses. This poem touched me, I hope it also touches you too.
Calling heaven Seeking mercy Tell me there’s a place for these What of the children who have never felt a love Tender as the morning Nursing the bruises And the scars that never seem to go away
What of the babies who have never left the womb Breathing in the lifeline Angels in waiting Gone before they could be given wings to fly
Calling heaven Seeking mercy Tell me there’s a place for these What of the children who have never felt a love Tender as the morning Nursing the bruises And the scars that never seem to go away
What of the noble who are searching for the truth With truest of intentions And yet they’re jaded by Hypocrisies behind cathedral walls
What of the humble and the meek that knew despair And never got their moment But sacrificed a life of comfort So that others knew no pain
Calling heaven Seeking mercy Tell me there’s a place for these What of the children who have never felt a love Tender as the morning Nursing the bruises And the scars that never seem to go away
What of the ones who call you Lord But play the field with faithless indecision Forgive us father for we truly Do not know what we have done
Calling heaven Seeking mercy Tell me there’s a place for these What of the children who have never felt a love Tender as the morning Nursing the bruises And the scars that never seem to go away
There’s are many hurting people in our world today, but for me the ones I feel most for are those who suffer as a consequence of someone else’s actions, or simply as a result of unfortunate circumstance.
I’ve heard recently of two separate couples who have gone through the pain and grief of losing a child – one as a result of a miscarriage the other a cot death. Both terrible and painful events, but both simply unfortunate circumstances.
In addition the others that always touch me deeply are the children we hear about on the news or in the papers who have been abused/neglected by family or so called friends. How can they do this to a child? The child can’t protect themself, they rely on those around them to look after them and care for them.
Please pray for those who have suffered abuse or neglect as well as for those families who have had to go through the traumatic experience of the death of their child. They need our prayers and our support today and in the future, so please pray for them.
Now is the season for healing Deeply we need to see, God’s mercy revealing Where we have fallen from his ways For we know he gives hope to the humble, gives light in the darkness, and grace when we stumble Let us, call on His name, together, knowing he will say
If my people pray and reach for me with hearts, that are broken I will not forget what I’ve spoken Come and seek my grace Heaven will rain, rivers of my grace, overflowing Night and day my ears will be open… If my people pray
Now is the day to awaken, to pray with conviction, to the souls of the nation (So) let us, call on His name Whose faithful, promise still remain
If my people pray and reach for me with hearts, that are broken I will not forget what I’ve spoken (oo) Come and seek my grace (seek ye and..) Heaven will reign, rivers of my grace, overflowing Night and day my ears will be open… If my people pray
Let us not grow weary as we wait for the day When the Light turns our night into morning All we need is to call your name As we lift our hearts to Heaven (yeah) Knowing You will say…
If my people pray and reach for me with hearts, that are broken I will not forget what I’ve spoken (oo) Come and seek my grace (seek ye and…) Heaven will reign, rivers of my grace, overflowing Night and day my ears will be open… If my people pray(oo) If my people pray
O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands.
God has promised to love us forever, unconditionally. Say thank you to God for loving you by praying to Him.
God loves to hear His people pray, so go on, make God happy!
When a close friend or a family member is on the brink of death, it is a difficult time for their friends/family as they want their loved one to be at peace and free of pain, but on the other hand they wish their loved one didn’t have to leave them.
So imagine how Jesus‘ family and friends felt that first Easter as Jesus hung on the cross, dying – but not just dying, dying in immense pain, because He wanted to save each of us. What words would you use to describe how they felt when Jesus died?
Their grief must have been overwhelming. They must have wondered why Jesus, the Son of God, didn’t save himself from death on the cross. They must have questioned their belief that God really cared about them as He had let His own son die.
All those feeling would have been perfectly understandable in the aftermath of Jesus’ death. However although we know that Jesus died on the cross, we also know that was not the end of Jesus…indeed it was only the start of what Jesus, and God, was going to do, and continue to do for each one of us.
Mourning is a tough time for family and friends of the deceased to deal with, but we must remember that our loved ones are now at peace and are with God, just as Jesus is.
I prayed for you before we met, not knowing who you’d be. I asked the Lord to send a friend. One chosen just for me.
I asked that they’d be Godly, with wisdom of His ways. A friend to help and guide me in the troubles of these days.
So often in life, we need someone to listen while we talk. Someone who will not condemn or judge, but encourage us as we walk.
The narrow road we choose to follow may sometimes make us stumble, but to have a friend to catch our fall, teaches us to be humble.
When I asked the Lord to send a friend, though many came and went, He gave much more than I ever asked, for you are the friend He sent.
Are you in need of a friend? A friend who will support and care for you while you are going through some tough times. God is there for you during your darkest times, as well as during your times of happiness. However sometimes God may not help you directly, He may send you an angel to help you through…and angel to watch over you on behalf of God. i.e. God’s angel.
Spend all your time waiting For that second chance For a break that would make it okay There’s always some reason To feel not good enough And it’s hard at the end of the day I need some distraction Oh beautiful release Memories seep from my veins Let me be empty Oh and weightless and maybe I’ll find some peace tonight
In the arms of the angel Far away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you feel You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You’re in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line And everywhere you turn There’s vultures and thieves at your back And the storm keeps on twisting You keep on building the lies That you make up for all that you lack It don’t make no difference Escaping one last time It’s easier to believe In this sweet madness oh This glorious sadness That brings me to my knees
In the arms of the angel Far away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you feel You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You’re in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here
You’re in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here
You breathe in me And I’m alive With the power of your holiness You breathe in me And you revive Feelings in my soul That I have laid to rest
So breathe in me I need you now I’ve never felt so dead within So breathe in me Maybe somehow You can breathe new life In me again
I used to be so sensitive To the light that leads to where you are
Now I’ve acquired These callouses With the darkness of A cold and jaded heart
So breathe in me I need you now I’ve never felt so dead within So breathe in me Maybe somehow You can breathe new life In me again
When darkness surrounds you, and you’ve forgotten to give all your worries and problems to the Lord, just reach out to God and He will revive your life. He will breathe new life into you. He will help you through your times of trouble.
Psalm 80:17-19 (NLT)
Strengthen the man you love, the son of your choice. Then we will never abandon you again. Revive us so we can call on your name once more.
Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.
Jesus came into our world, just as a simple helpless child, but one who was ultimately going to give his life for the world, just so that we might be able to live our lives to the full.
Repay His love for us today, by giving your life to God.
