Looking To The Future

The future may be scary, but we don’t need to face it alone. The lyrics of the song in the above video, My Future Decided, remind us that God has already planned our life and no matter how scary we might feel about tomorrow, we will never have to face it alone as God will be with us.

The future doesn’t have to be so scary, we just need to trust God for all that’s to come.

I am not what I want to be.
I am not what I should be.
I am not what I one day will be.
But, thank God, I’m not what I once was.

 

From the moment we are born, we start our journey through life, initially knowing nothing. However each moment we spend on earth the more we learn from those around us, and from our environment. Some of what we learn is good for us and will help us in life, other things will not helps us be all we can be.

Even if we’re lucky enough to be taught about God from an early age, it doesn’t mean we automatically become able to choose the best path for our life. However, regardless of whether we were taught about God from an early age, or have just recently become aware of Him, we can be assured that God is with us, and, if we ask Him, He will help us make the correct choices in our life and make us better people.

Personally I grew up in a family where although my Dad isn’t a Christian, my Mum was and therefore I was aware o God and taught about God from an early age. But just like everyone else, I have made many many mistakes and done some things I’m not proud of, however I believe that because I have asked God into my life, He has forgiven me for all the things I have done wrong, and has helped me be the person I am today.

I am definitely not saying I am perfect now because God has helped me! I am simply saying that because God is helping me, I now live a more Christian life, however there is still huge room for improvement on my part!

I trust God to help me become a better person, a better Christian, I pray that you too will put your full trust in God, so that that He can help you too to be all He needs and wants you to be.

God is watching over us and looking after us at all times. This doesn’t mean if we believe in Him and trust Him that we’ll have an easy life without any problems. He simply promises us that no matter what we face, He will be there with us to help and guide us.

God you are faithful in every way, to every person.

No matter what we face in life, God will be able to carry us through it. Although we cannot see God, I believe He does exist, and that He is always there for me holding my hand at all times.

Why not reach out and take hold of God’s hand today.

 

Faithful Servants

The Church does not need brilliant personalities but faithful servants of Jesus and the brethren…. Pastoral authority can only be attained by the servant of Jesus Christ who seeks no power of his own, who himself is a brother among brothers submitted to the authority of the Word.

Are you a faithful servant?

Do you seek to honour God rather than yourself?

God is always faithful to us – He never leaves us or forgets about us. We must repay God by remaining faithful to Him at all times, and in trying to share His love with others.

I pray today that I remain faithful to God and that you too might be God’s faithful servant too.

At The Heart of It All

Some people are motivated by money, others the thought of doing something good for someone else, others their family…but what about you, what makes you tick?

For me, I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I’m always trying to do everything I do perfectly! I know I will never do everything perfectly, and even if that was possible, would I ever be able to be perfect in God‘s eyes?

The answer to that question is of course “Yes” – God loves me for who I am, imperfections and all. All He asks in return is that I put Him at the centre of all I do, i.e. I am motivated by Him to do all I can for Him and for others.

So, is God at the heart of all you do?

Take a good look at yourself, take a look in your heart (see yesterday’s blog post Search My Heart), and discover your true motivations and your true love.

Yes, Jesus love me, and he loves you, and he loves the person next to you, and the person next to them…

Yes, I admit I need Jesus…do you?

I know I far from being perfect. I try my best to live as Christ wants me to live, but it’s not easy at times, particularly when life throws tough times at you. If I try under my own steam to be more like jesus, I will fail, but through God‘s strength I can learn to be more Christ-like. That is why I will worship God until the very end.

Will you admit you need Jesus? Will you serve Him and worship Him all your days?

God Will Answer

Psalm 91:14-15 (New Living Translation)

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
      I will protect those who trust in my name.
 When they call on me, I will answer;
      I will be with them in trouble.
      I will rescue and honor them.

No matter what troubles you face, God has promised that if we love Him, He will be there for us, and He will help us through our tough times.

It may seem as if God is not there for you when you need Him sometimes. However we must always remember that God answers our prayers in the way He knows is best for us, which is obviously not always how we would have wanted Him to answer them.

Trust God, He always knows what’s best for each one of us.
