Hide me now Under your wings Cover me within your mighty hand
When the oceans rise and thunders roar I will soar with you above the storm Father you are king over the flood I will be still and know you are God
Find rest my soul In Christ alone Know his power In quietness and trust
This song reminds us that no matter what we face in life, God will help us rise above it all and get through it all with Hid help and guidance. God is the one and only person who we can trust to be with us through thick and thin.
Trust God today. Trust God everyday. Trust God for everything.
Jesus was born in a stable amongst the stable animals with only a manger for his bed. Based on where Jesus was born and how he spent his first few hours, how can we ever question what is good enough for God, when a stable was good enough for His son!?
We are only human, so all we can do is our best for Jesus. God knows our limitations and knows when we are doing our best to be like Jesus.
When we do our best it is definitely good enough for God.
This song and this video always move me, and touch me very deeply. Even as I watch it again as I write this blog post, I find my tears streaming down my face once again…all because of just how much Jesus gave up for me….His life!
He Had To Hold To Calvaryby Garry DrueryHe could have left that cross that dayTo feed the hungry who were thereHe could have wiped the children’s’ tears awayTo show them He still caredHe could have once again reached out His handTo give sight to the blindHe could have kissed His mother one more timeBut He had to hold to CalvaryTo ever hold to meHe could not free himself and set me freeHe had to surrenderTo win my victoryHe could not save himself and save meHe could have proven to JerusalemThat He truly was God’s sonHe could have shown those who scorned HimThat He was the mighty oneHe could have grieved the crown and filled the skyWith angels to set Him freeHe could have walked away from CalvaryBut He had to hold to CalvaryTo ever hold to meHe could not free himself and set me freeHe had to surrenderTo win my victoryHe could not save himself and save meBut He had to hold to CalvaryTo ever hold to meHe could not free himself and set me freeHe had to surrenderTo win my victoryHe could not save himself and save meHe had to surrenderTo win my victoryHe could not save himselfHe could have walked away from CalvaryHe could not save himself and save me
Thank you Lord for the cross and all that means and represents to me and other Christians throughout the world.
Struggling a bit today to find the time blog as been very long and busy day at work. Therefore I would just like to share with you song of Great Great Joy, sung by the International Staff Songsters of the Salvation Army.
