Another beautiful day outside (as far as I can tell from the few hours I’ve been awake!), but like the last few days I’ve found myself thinking about all God’s wonderful creations round about us that we often find ourselves taking for granted.

River Clyde

I’ve just started making a list of some of the things around me which I know I often take for granted. It started of as a list of things I’d actively noticed in the last few days like the trees, flowers, rivers etc, but it’s now grown int a list of all the things around me, including my home, car, family, friends, a fridge/freezer full of food etc.

Sometimes I think it’s good just to remind ourself of things we use/see everyday which we are very fortunate to have, as there are so many folk in this world who have nothing.

Please join me in a short prayer:

Thank you Lord for all the great people and belonging I have around me. I pray that I will never take them for granted, or indeed take you for granted. For those less fortunate than myself, I ask that you will show me a way that I can make a positive difference in their lives, no matter how small. Use me Lord to make a difference in this world, to be your messenger to those who don’t know you. Thank you for your presence in my life and for the gift you have given me. Amen.
