“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Yesterday I shared some prayer quotes with you that I’d come across. Today I’ve got some more to share with you, however first I would just like to remind you that no matter how hopeless your situation or how useless you think prayer might be, I’d urge you to give it a go, as God really does answer prayer. God has answered many of my prayers in the past and I know He will continue to so – He can answer your prayers too – You just need to believe!

I hope you like this next lot of prayer quotes:

  1. He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day. John Bunyan
  2. “Time spent alone with God is not wasted.  It changes us; it changes our surroundings; and every Christian who would live the life that counts, and who would have power for service must take time to pray.”  M.E. Andross
  3. “There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.”  A.T. Pierson
  4. “Satan trembles when he sees the weakest Christian on his knees.”  William Cowper
  5. “God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces of against evil …” E.M. Bounds
  6. “Shut the world out, withdraw from all worldly thoughts and occupations, and shut yourself in alone with God, to pray to Him in secret. Let this be your chief object in prayer, to realize the presence of your heavenly Father.”  Andrew Murray
  7. “Prayer – secret, fervent, believing prayer – lies at the root of all personal godliness.”  William Carey
  8. “A man who is intimate with God will never be intimidated by men.”  Leonard Ravenhill
  9. “Prayer can never be in excess.” C. H. Spurgeon
  10. “Four things let us ever keep in mind: God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer.”  E. M. Bounds
