Archive for January 3, 2012

A couple of days ago, in Welcome to 2012, I listed my aims for 2012, some related to my physical wellbeing, others to my spiritual well-being.

As this is a new calendar year, I’d urge you to not only refocus your aims for your life, but also to refocus your spiritual life. Whether that means giving your life to God for the first time, or whether you’re rededicating your life to God, this is a perfect time to restart your Christian journey.

Maybe last year you felt God was calling you to move your life in a particular direction, but you kept telling Him that wasn’t what you wanted. It’s not too late to say “yes” to God’s call today. God has your life planned out before you, He just needs you to follow. Don’t think you can’t achieve what He asks you to do, because He will always be there to help you and give you the words and actions to see you through whatever comes your way.

Maybe you’ve found your life getting out of control and you feel there’s no point carrying on. There’s always a point continuing with life! God gave us life, and therefore He can help you regain control of your life again. All you have to do is ask Him to come into your life and take control.

Maybe you’ve never even given God a second thought, as you’ve always felt there was nothing He could do for you. Why not give God a chance today. He can and will make a positive difference in your life…a difference that others will be able to see.

Those are just a few examples of how you might be feeling about your life and God. So however you might be feeling today either about your life, or about God, I would urge you at the start of this new year, to give God a chance to change your life for the better.

Make your 2012 a God-focused year. Go on ask God into your life today.
