The last few days I’ve been talking about healing, and how God can heal us.
Psalm 147:2-4 (NIV)
The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.
When we’re ill or unwell, we rely on doctors and other medical professionals to determine what’s wrong with us, and make us better. However sometimes even the experiences medical professionals are unable to find a cause of the illness or maybe they’re unable to cure you, what then? We pray for healing!
That does not mean that we should pray for healing only as a last resort. Far from it, we should pray to God for healing even when we’re first unwell. All our prayers to God should not be a “last resort”, they should be because we have faith in God during all of life’s events, and trust that whatever situation we find ourself in, God will provide for us.
No matter what “wounds” we may have, God can help heal them, physical or emotional, recent or long-standing, so take all your wounds to Him in prayer.
