Mark 16:5-7 (NIV)

As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

Jesus is alive! Isn’t that what Easter is all about?

After all if Christ hadn’t risen from the dead, Christianity would probably be no more than the thoughts of a select few, with no substance or evidence for its beliefs. Instead we have the proof that God really does love us, as who else would sacrifice their only son, just so we could all be forgiven of all our sins?

Without Christ’s resurrection, we would not be celebrating Easter, and we would not be able to rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus IS alive.

He is alive! He is alive and I love him!

Alive!
