Do you believe God answers prayer?

I believe God answers prayer. However I know that doesn’t mean he’ll always answer my prayers in the way I hoped or wanted. In fact the following quote expresses how God answers prayer so much better than I ever could:

God answers all prayers, but sometimes his answer is ‘no’. ~ Dan Brown

Just because you are struggling does not mean you are failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there.

Nothing in life is easily achieved, so when you’re struggling, remember that it’s only through difficult times that we learn and grow as individuals. So don’t be afraid to admit that you’re struggling and need help, because it’s not a sign of failure, it just shows what a strong and determined individual you are.

Do you ever feel spiritually drained?

Have you ever feel that the “spirit” has just been exhausted in your life?

We all feel this way from time to time; but an energetic Christian knows the cure!

“But you walked away from your first love—why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you’ve fallen? A Lucifer fall!

“Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I’m well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle.

~ Revelations 2:4-5 (The Message)

It’s time to recharge your spiritual batteries today, before your they run our completely!

You can do this by remembering your first love for God. After all first loves are always something we remember aren’t they, and the time you first accepted God into your life should be no different. So remember when you first accepted God into your life today.

Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tyre? ~ Corrie ten Boom

Does that make sense to you?

In reality, it’s simply asking whether prayer is part of your everyday life, regardless of whether you are on a spiritual high or in the depths of despair. Or is prayer just something you turn to in emergencies, when all else fails.

Prayer is definitely my steering wheel, as it’s a standard part of my everyday life – Share my fears, my worries with God, as well as thank Him for all he provides for me. He is my steering wheel.

Is God someone you go to regularly or is he just someone you turn to when you’re in trouble?

When we’re asked a question, we can often give elaborate answers which really tell the questioner nothing. So for the following questions I’m looking for single word answers only :

  1. What’s the first thing you do when you get up each morning?
  2. What’s the last thing you do at night before you go to bed?
  3. How many alarms go off in your house each morning?
  4. How would you describe prayer?
  5. How many times on average do you pray each day?

Whatever your answers, did you answer honestly or did you give the answers you think you should be giving?

If you didn’t answer honestly, can I suggest you try again, but this time be honest with yourself, because if you are, you might get an insight into the ares of your life you need to change.

Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Do you believe prayer is powerful? Mahatma Gandhi did, I do, many others around the world do.

God can and will answer prayer, so use the power!

Is there such a thing as a perfect prayer?

Perfect prayer does not consist in many words, silent remembering and pure intention raises the heart to that supreme Power. ~ Amit Ray

I’m not sure I’d call any prayer a ‘perfect prayer’, however I would say that any prayer that is uttered from the heart, is worthy of being called perfect. God wants us to give our hearts to Him, so if our prayers come from the depth of our heart, they are perfect to Him.

Are you the kind of person who loves others unconditionally?

How about yourself – Do you love yourself? I don’t mean in a conceited way or anything, but simply that you respect yourself and will do all you can to look after yourself.

The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others but ourselves as well. ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

So show some unconditional to everyone you come into contact with, but just as importantly, love yourself unconditionally too.

When you ask someone a question or give someone some information – face-to-face, text, messenger, WhatsApp, email, or phone etc – is it realistic to expect a response?

Personally I think it is right to expect a response, after all, how else do you know the receiver has heard/received the question or information?

Having said that, that doesn’t mean you should expect a response immediately but certainly you should expect a response in my view. When the person you were ‘speaking to’ does respond, it doesn’t mean they will necessarily answer or respond to the question/information you gave to them, but at least if they respond you’ll have got an acknowledgement they received your communication.

I know everyone is busy rushing around from one thing to another these days, so please, if someone ‘speaks’ to you, or asks you something, please acknowledge the communication, even if you don’t directly respond to the message.

When you delay responding to someone, they may feel their words were pointless and meant nothing to you, or may even feel that they are invisible or worthless. Similarly they may have the same feelings if you don’t respond to the communication immediately, but instead wait a few hours or days, apologise for the delay in responding, however in this instance I suspect your response may brighten day.

So please don’t ignore others when they ‘speak’ to you, regardless of communication channel, as everyone deserves to be heard and be answered.

Do you ever feel spiritually drained?

Have you ever feel that the “spirit” has just been exhausted in your life?

We all feel this way from time to time; but an energetic Christian knows the cure!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

~ Romans 12:2 (NIV)

It’s time to recharge your spiritual batteries today, before your they run our completely!

You can do this by renewing your mindset by getting your head together, focusing on what matters and don’t get caught up in the things that don’t really matter in life.
