We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
‘Cause we know our goodbye is not the end.

Revelation 21:4 (Amplified Bible)

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.

Another sad day, but another day full of hope, as we said our final farewells to another loved one.

I came across the above song on YouTube yesterday and it really touch me, and reaffirmed to me that death of a loved one, is not the end of our relationship, because we will meet again in heaven.

There’s only one thing in life that’s certain, and that is that we’ll all die at some point. Even so, it’s still difficult for us to cope with death when someone close to us dies.

I pray that when we suffer bereavement, we may find reassurance and peace knowing there is hope…hope, in the knowledge that our goodbye is not the end.

How many times have you heard someone say “I’ll regret that for the rest if my life”?

I’m sure that each one of us have done things we’re not proud of, said something we shouldn’t have or not said something when we should have.

Do not brood over your past mistakes or failures as this will fill your mind with grief, regret and depression. Do not repeat them in the future.

Swami Sivananda

Whatever events or situations we regret, we must not let them take over our present or indeed our future, after all whatever our regrets, they are about something in the past. i.e. Something which cannot be changed – Yes, we can take action to improve the current situation caused by the event, but we can never change the actual event itself because it is in the past.

So what should we do? Move on, accept our mistakes, learn from them, but most of all leave them in our past. After all I’m sure that’s what others would want us to do with any hurt they may previously have caused us too!

And how do we move on? As I said in yesterday’s blog post, No Regrets, by giving your life to Jesus – give Him all your problems, all your burdens, both past and present. By doing this God can help you turn your life around, so that you can live your life to the full, without regrets.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
