I lay my all before you now.

As the above song says I’ve bowed before God and asked Him to forgive me of all my sins and use me in whatever way He needs me. Have you?

I don’t deserve God’s love, but yet He still loves me, and wants to help me to be a better person. Who else would do that?

So let’s say thanks to God for His love for us by serving Him always.

struggleYesterday in Unsure? I spoke about how we have to be patient during tough times, as God is there and is listening to your prayers. I do understand how difficult that can be in reality, because when you’re struggling you just want your life to turn around and suddenly be great again, and that, I think, is why it’s during these times we often find ourselves questions God, and sometimes even questioning His existence.

However, just as I said yesterday, it’s during these times, where you faith in God must keep us believing in Him because if we keep believing in Him and praying, God will turn your mess into a miracle!

I’ve talked before about how a few years ago, I was in a very dark place, and felt as though God had deserted me, but somehow I kept trying to pray. I kept trying to pray, but often found I was unable to utter a single word, as all I did was cry, but I believe God was with during those days and He knew my deepest thoughts and feelings, and knew what I wanted to pray even though I couldn’t actually find the words to say.

At the time it just felt like God wasn’t there and so felt as though I was lost. However now, looking back, I can see that even during those darkest of times, God was there for me. He wasn’t there for me in the way I wanted, as He didn’t get me through those tough times as quickly as I would have liked, but He did send me someone who helped and supported me during those days.

If I had never faced those dark times, I do not believe my faith would be as strong as it is today, because by facing those tough times with God supporting me, I know now I can face anything because He is with me.

I hope and pray that though you may face difficulties and testing times in life, your faith keeps you strong in the knowledge that God is with you and He is listening to you prayers.

The first verse of a well-known hymn says:

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.

I want to focus on just one word in the first line of this song, “Invisible“. God is invisible as a person, but larger than life when it comes to His actions and His love for us. However so many in people still deny God’s existence simply because they can’t physically see God.

But think about this, you can’t see the air, yet it doesn’t mean you stop breathing. Similarly, just because you can’t see God, don’t stop believing in His…and if you have never believed in God, why not give God a chance to show you how much He loves you.

God may be physically invisible, but He is certainly not non-existent!

tearsThere are some things which can seem endless. Some that are good and some not so good. Things like the love and support from family and friends can feel endless which is obviously good. While a continual string of bad or events which affect your life are the complete opposite.

I’ve felt for the last few years that my life has just been one constant struggle after another between my own health problems as well as health  problems and other issues affecting other members of my family. This has all culminated in the last few weeks with my Dad passing away and now my 90-year-old aunt being admitted to hospital a couple of weeks ago with a bad chest infection and not eating or drinking, and then just a few days ago being told my aunt had probably had a stroke and it was unlikely she’d pull through.

How does that make me feel? Well at times I question God, as I’m sure we all do sometimes, “why me?”, but other times I acknowledge that God wouldn’t let me go through these experiences if he didn’t think I could handle them.

That doesn’t make me feel any better during these tough days, and it of course doesn’t make my life any easier, but it does remind me that God lives me and walks beside me in all situations, even though it may feel to me that he’s deserted me.

So when you are going through what seems like an endless string of bad things, remember God is there and is supporting you in all at all times.

The following video of Susan Best singing God is Always There will hopefully help you remember that God is always there for you:

clockSometimes it can feel as though God is nowhere to be found when you need Him most. But don’t despair, because God is with you, and He will be there for you at just the right time with just what you need.

The Lord is never late, He always arrives at just the right time with just the right things in His hands

Our Saviour is here!

Do you believe God is here among us today?

There may be fewer Christians in our world today than there used to be, but God hasn’t disappeared from our world, the people in this world have turned from God.

It’s therefore our responsibility as Christians to make sure we continue to tell the world that our Saviour is here!

Our feelings are real and they are powerful, but they are not more powerful than God and truth.

No matter how you might be feeling, don’t ever forget that God is more powerful than anything or anyone in this world. So don’t let your feelings takeover your life, no matter how difficult life may be for you…just make sure God is always in control of your life.

Sometimes when life sucks, and I feel like I’m drowning in all that’s going on around me, I take a few minutes to remind myself that:

God is working things out for you even if you don’t feel it, have faith and be thankful

Yes, it can be tough to remember that God is still working in your life, when it seems nothing is going right for you. But by having faith in God and all He can and will do for you, you will find that you will see how God is working in your life.

God is always there for you, and is always working in your life, so have faith in God and give thanks to Him for all He does for you each day.

Here’s a couple of questions for you:

  • Do you believe in God?
  • Do you believe the God you believe in?

Why am I asking you these questions? Well a couple of weeks ago I came across the following quote by R.C. Sproul:

The issue of faith is not so much whether we believe in God, but whether we believe the God we believe in

It’s true isn’t it, we can believe in God but sometimes we may not actually believe He is there for us, or will answer our prayers. Could it just be that we don’t believe God isn’t there for us or answering our prayers, simply because He hasn’t answered them in the way we wanted?

Not only do we have to believe in God, but we have to believe God always knows best for us, and will never abandon us.

Believe in God, and believe God will be there for you.

Ever wondered if you can rely on God in all situations and in all circumstances?

Well I can answer that for you…God is most definitely the most reliable person you will ever come across.

God’s love for us is unconditional for each and every one of us. God cares for us in every aspect of our lives in which He is part, but as God cares able every part of our life, His care for us is always reliable.

Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you. (Psalm 89:8 NIV)
