It’s free!

You’ve probably heard lots of people, including me, say that God’s forgiveness is freely available to each and every one of us. That said, we will only receive forgiveness if we acknowledge our failures and our sins to God. We must then accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour, and let Him enter every part of our lives. Then and only then will we receive God’s forgiveness.

Are you ready and willing to seek God’s forgiveness today?

The Son has set us free! Hallelujah!

Sometimes we can feel trapped or constrained by life, but don’t despair, God can set you free.

I thought about how sin had sentenced us to die And how God gave His only Son so you and I could say . . .
And if the Son has set you free, Oh, if the Son has set you free Then you are free indeed

Have you found your freedom?

I am free to run
I am free to dance
I am free to live for You
I am free
Yes, I am free

Are you?

We in this country are free to worship God as our Lord and Saviour, however even these days, there are still areas of the world, where people are persecuted because of their faith and their beliefs.

Make the most of the freedom we have by living your life for God. Pray to Him, listen to Him and do His will and be set free!

Do you love Jesus?
Do you love God?

Have you given your life to God?

When you have given you life entirely to God, your life is no longer your own, it is God’s. All God requests of you, you do unquestioningly and faithfully, knowing that it is part of God’s plan for your life.

Your life may no longer be your own, but with your life in God’s hands, you will receive unequivocal rewards from God for all you do for Him.

God will set up free from all your earthly longing and desires and focus your life in new and rewarding directions. Give your life to God today.

Not My Own by Twila Paris
I am not my own
I am bought with a price
I am not my own, not my own

I am not my own

I cannot hold to pride
I am not my own, not my own

Take this false desire
Burn it in Your righteous fire
I am not my own, not my own

This is not my home
This is not Paradise
This is not my home, not my home

This is not my home
I have been far and wide
This is not my home, not my home

Make this longing true
Turn my wistful heart to you
This is not my home, not my home

When I turn to find Your eyes
O Lord, O Lord
I begin to realize
Once more, once more

I am not my own
I am bought with a price
I am not my own, not my own
Take this false desire
Burn it in Your righteous fire
I am not my own, not my own
I am not my own, not my own

It’s Free!

Do you believe you can get something for nothing?
Are you sceptical when someone tells you you can have something for nothing?

It’s true I’m sure that there are some things in life that you can get free of charge. Well that includes salvation, as God tells us:

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Revelation 22:17 (NIV)
Please do not be sceptical, although eternal life does not come to us for free, it simply means that someone has to pay the price…and that someone was Jesus! He has paid the ultimate price for us on the cross – “He paid a debt he did not owe; I owed a debt I could not pay”.

When we accept Jesus as our saviour, God transferred our sins to his account. In other words our debt is taken from us because Jesus paid our debt in full! And that is why He can offer us eternal life free of charge!

So stop trying to pay the debt yourself, just come to God.

Come is such a simply word but it’s the only one required to invite you to God…Come!

I found this simply prayer on the internet, please use it to invite God into your life today:
Lord, I’m coming, I’m coming to Christ. I’m coming to say I’m sorry that you had to die to pay the punishment for sins you didn’t commit – mine! Thank you, Lord Jesus. Lord, I’m coming. I’m coming to say I’m done with trying to “buy” influence with you. I’ve run out of currency – I’m bankrupt. “nothing in my hands I bring. Simply to your cross I cling”. Jesus, I’ve come – here I am – forgive me, come into my heart, enter my life, and give me eternal life. Thank you Lord Jesus! Amen

Everything God has done was just so you would come to Him…

When you hear people talking about God’s grace, do you know what they mean?

Well here’s what the dictionary says:
1. Seemingly effortless beauty or charm of movement, form, or proportion.
2. A characteristic or quality pleasing for its charm or refinement.
3. A sense of fitness or propriety.
a. A disposition to be generous or helpful; goodwill.
b. Mercy; clemency.
5. A favour rendered by one who need not do so; indulgence.
6. A temporary immunity or exemption; a reprieve.
a. Divine love and protection bestowed freely on people.
b. The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
c. An excellence or power granted by God.
8. A short prayer of blessing or thanksgiving said before or after a meal.

I think the definitions under number 7 best describe God’s grace. i.e. God loves and protects every single one of us, and does so without us having to ask him for anything in the first place.

Isn’t that amazing? Who else would love and protect you unquestioningly, without expecting or wanting anything in return?

God’s grace is enough for all of us, as with God’s love and protection, how can we possibly go wrong!

One of the most well known hymns is probably Amazing Grace – The song below by Chris Tomlin is a fantastic new arrangement of this well known hymn – I hope you enjoy it.

God’s grace is amazing!

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
