At work we have managers or team leaders who are there to guide, direct and teach us.

How about in your life as a whole? Do you know who is leading you?

God is my Lord, and my leader. I hope He is your leader too.

We all have tough days sometimes, however on days when I’m struggling to face another day I remind myself of the following:

100% success

Yes, I’ve been through some really tough times as several points in my life, but I got through them, by trusting God to guide and support me. Because of that I’m 100% certain that I can continue to get through anything that comes my way…that doesn’t mean I’ll not find it difficult or wonder when it’ll come to an end, it simply means I’ll remind myself I’ve been in some tough situations before, and I’ve survived them.

I know that with God by my side, I can get through anything! Do you?

God has promised to guide us always. Do you believe that? Do you trust Him to guide you through life?

Psalm 139:9–11 (NIV)

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me”

Let God guide you through each day, because He has promised to look after us, always.

Just as I said yesterday (in Looking for a job?), when you’re looking for a job it’s important you ask God to be part of your job search, so it is equally important, that if you lose your job, talk to God about it, and let Him help you.

Here’s a prayer to say when you lose your job:

I come to you today with a heavy heart, filled with regret over the past, and anxiety for the future. I’m out of work, and my finances are in a lot of trouble. I’ve made many mistakes. Help me to forgive myself, and others, so that I may make amends with all concerned. Grant me peace of mind so I can fill my life with your goodness and grace. Guide me toward a good job where I may fulfill both my needs and yours, as a better and wiser person. Thank you Lord for listening to me, and helping me today. Life isn’t always easy but I will try to remember that you are always there to help me and guide, just as you are her listening to me right now.

Thank you!

I live for Him

I am doing the best I can to be the person God wants me to be, but I know I fail Him often. I do however know that despite my flaws and my failures, God continues to love me and guide me in all I do.

How about you, are you repaying your debt to God by living your life for Him?

I’ve been reminded in the last week how petty people can be at times, complaining about things such as

  • where we’ve been asked to sit
  • how much space we have

Yes, it’s good to be comfortable and be happy in the company of those around us, but surely there are far more important things in life to focus our energies on. What can make petty disagreements even worse is when they involve Christians, as they really should know better!

I’m sure many of us can think of examples, such as those I’ve mentioned above which have caused disagreements and in some instances caused things to be said or done which have hurt or upset other Christians. The devil is definitely at work in these situations, because if we’re arguing or disagreeing with one another we’re not fighting evil!

Let’s remember that we should be working together for God, and that means supporting and encouraging one another, even during times when maybe we don’t always agree. As Christians we can disagree with each other, but it’s how we air those disagreements that determines whether the devil is stirring things up or whether we’re dealing with things in a way that God would expect and want Christians to do so.

So don’t let the devil dictate how we deal with situations we are not happy with, let God guide you and give you the words to deal with things in His way.Ephesians 4 26-27

Yesterday in Inspiration I spoke about what, or should I say, who, inspires and guides me in every situation I find myself in. But today I want you to think about who inspires you.

It’s good to be inspired, and it’s good to have someone who inspires you, so don’t be afraid to be inspired to do great things!

Sometimes I put myself under pressure to write a blog post every day, and that’s when I find it difficult to know what to write about…then I feel under more pressure…and then I struggle even more to know what to write about…

That’s when I stop myself, and remind myself that I have the greatest inspiration anyone could ever wish for, God!

I know my blog posts aren’t always about God, however He is always part of my life, at the centre, and therefore whenever I need inspiration for a blog post, or for advice on a life situation, I know I can rely on God to guide and direct me.

I lift up my eyes to the hills…
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2

Every day I try my best to be the person God wants me to be, however every day I struggle to reach the heights He knows I can reach.

So why do we fail even when we try our best to do God’s will? Probably because we still try to do everything in our own strength rather than in God’s strength!

If we continue to try to do everything on our own, we will never be the person God want’s us to be. Therefore talk to God, ask Him to help and guide you, and He will help you reach the goals He has set for you.

God wants us to be His. He doesn’t care what we have or haven’t achieved in our lives. He doesn’t care whether you think you can do anything for Him or not, because He knows us better than we know ourselves and therefore knows exactly what we can achieve with His help.

No matter who we are or what we do, we all have people in our lives who lead us in various aspects of our lives.

Are you a leader? You may not feel as though you have the ability or knowledge to lead or direct others, but I believe that within each of us there is a leader waiting to get out!

God gives each of His followers the tools to lead others to Him. That might mean that we’re able to stand up in front of loads of people and proclaim God’s message; It may mean that we can help the homeless and lonely find peace and happiness again; It might mean we’re able to inspire and encourage others who are struggling in their faith; It might mean none of these things and it might mean all of them…ultimately God gives each of us unique abilities so that we are able to do just what He needs us to do and where he needs us to do it.

Do you still think you don’t lead? Do you still think you can’t lead?

God will give you the guidance and the direction He needs and wants you to go in, so talk to Him about it…pray…God will help you become a great leader for Him.
