Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day ~ Sally Koch

We are all guilty of sometimes feeling as if we cannot help anyone, however maybe we are just missing out on the opportunities which present themselves to us every day. It’s not always necessary for huge gestures and great outpouring of emotions to be involved to have an impact on someone’s life. Sometimes, simply smiling at someone, holding a door open for a stranger, or saying, “Hello” or “How are you?” is all it takes to make someone’s day.

So don’t think you never help anyone, because often in your everyday life you’re already doing small acts of kindness to help others – So keep up the good work!

Carrying on from yesterday’s blog post, I want to give remind you again how important it is to show kindness to others.

Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn’t anyone who doesn’t appreciate kindness and compassion ~ Dalai Lama

Sometimes all someone needs to make their day, is someone, not necessarily someone they know, but someone showing them a little bit of kindness. Can you be that person for someone today?

Go on do a random act of kindness today.

Do you think kindness is something that everyone can appreciate? I do!

No matter how young or old, deaf or blind, black or white, Christian or Muslim, or in fact any person, I would suggest that we all enjoy someone showing us a little kindness. I found the following quote from Mark Twain, and this backs up what I’ve been saying:

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see

So, as I said earlier this week, it doesn’t hurt to be kind to others, so let’s spread some kindness wherever we go. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, and can be fully appreciated by everyone.

A part of kindness consists in loving people more than they deserve ~ Joseph  Joubert

I came across this quote a few days ago. At first I really liked it, but the more I considered it,the more I realised how inaccurate this statement is.

Everyone deserves love and kindness, no matter what they may have done in their past. God expects us to be kind to everyone, even those who seem unlovable!

Proverbs 3:3-4 (NLT)

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.

If we show kindness to others, we will get our reward in heaven, because we will have done God’s will, so show kindness to everyone simply because they deserve it!

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for  beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the  knowledge that you are never alone ~ Audrey  Hepburn

I love this quote from Audrey Hepburn. Doesn’t it make you feel good just reading it?

I do think you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes. I’ve seen many things in peoples’ eyes: love; sadness; fear; unhappiness; joy; pleading; and of course…kindness.

From my own experiences, I’ve found that those who are experiencing similar feelings and emotions, are the ones best placed to see and read what your eyes are saying. If someone were to look into your eyes now, what would they see?

What about your words, are they ones that show kindness and compassion for others?

We are all capable of showing kindness to others, so let’s pray, and then pray some more and ask God to help us to be kind even when the world around us often makes it difficult for us to want to be kind!

If you are kind people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Be kind anyway ~ Mother Teresa

It’s true, some people will always question your motives when you show kindness. It’s a sad indication of the society we live in these days – no-one believes people may just want to show kindness, without needing or wanting anything in return.

Kindness is something we are all capable of giving, but so many choose not to share their kindness with others.

It costs us nothing to show a little kindness to another human, so make it your aim for this coming week to be kind to everyone who meet – it won’t hurt you, but it may stop some else from hurting quite so much when they realise someone cares!

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted – Aesop

Every act of kindness is never wasted because if it’s been done with the best intentions, to help another person and not for personal gain, it has always been done for the right reason.

No act of kindness ever goes unseen, as even if the intended recipient ignores the act of kindness, God sees it.

God uses each of us to performs acts of kindness. He guides us in all we do so that we can help others. So don’t ever think any act of kindness you perform has ever gone unnoticed, as God has noticed it and loves you for helping some else.

Great Kindness by Tree63

A grateful man bows before You to thank You Lord
In silent tears for there is so much to thank You for
I have nothing, nothing if not for You
How can I repay You?
What can I ever give back to You?
I always will remember
Your great kindness

In desperate need I cried out, You delivered me
My soul from death, my feet from stumbling
My eyes from tears I will lift up salvation’s cup
And call Your name
I have everything, yet nothing
If not for You

In the same way that God can provide us with the great love we will ever know, He will also be kinder to us than anyone else we will ever know.

Don’t take God’s love of His great kindness for granted – Say thank you to God for the love and kindness He shows you each day.

Be inspired by God and show some kindness to others. By kind to those you don’t know, the unloveable, the oppressed.
God will reward you in heaven for your kindness. God expects us to be kind to everyone, just as He is.

Kind words cost nothing and can achieve much, even difficult people respond to kindness.

Be kind – Show some love to the unloveable.

Hands Of Kindness

Oh your hands of kindness are here for me
And I have heard they are silken and can carry me

How I love you
All I am is you
King of love I bow

Oh your hands of mercy were scarred for me
And your body was broken so that I go free

Oh your love that burns me, deeper than the sea
And the treasure I find here, the saviour’s love for me
