Posts Tagged ‘Marmite’

In the last little while I’ve noticed there are a number of things which many of us will put in the category of either “love them” or “hate them”. So today I thought id share with you some of  my love or hate things and see if you can guess which category they fall into for me:

  1. Manchester United
  2. Cats
  3. Marmite
  4. Haggis
  5. Starbucks coffee
  6. Brussel sprouts
  7. Reality TV
  8. Jose Mourinho
  9. Dieting
  10. Soaps

A bit of a mixed bag of things there isn’t it, but I wonder how many of them you correctly worked out that I love or hate, and how many we have in common…scroll down to find out my answers…

  1. Hate
  2. Love
  3. Hate
  4. Hate
  5. Love
  6. Hate
  7. Hate
  8. Hate
  9. Hate
  10. Love…but hate for loving them!

So there you go, how many of my answers matched yours?

“Love” and “hate” are two very strong and very different emotions and if we are honest with ourselves I think we will probably find that rather than “loving” or “hating” the items I listed above, we really just “like” or “strongly dislike” them – Does that sound about right?.

In the last few months in Slogans #1 and Slogans #2, I mentioned how we all see and hear many adverts on a daily basis via advertising hoardings or adverts on the radio, television  magazines and newspapers.

Today again I want to give you some more slogans to see how many of the companies/organisations associated with them you can identify from their slogans?

  1. Feeding brighter futures
  2. Your priority is our priority
  3. Every little helps
  4. Let your fingers do the walking
  5. The taste of paradise
  6. Don’t dream it, drive it
  7. You either love it or you hate it
  8. It does exactly what it says on the tin
  9. Empowering people
  10. Don’t leave home without it

So that’s the slogans, how many do you think you know?

So here’s the answers…

  1. Pedigree
  2. Microsoft internet explorer
  3. Tesco
  4. Yellow pages
  5. Bounty
  6. Jaguar
  7. Marmite
  8. Ronseal
  9. Acer
  10. American express

There were a few tricky ones in there, so if you got them all, well done!

I’ll be doing a few more of these in the coming weeks, so keep watching the adverts and remembering the slogans!
