Do you think kindness is something that everyone can appreciate? I do!

No matter how young or old, deaf or blind, black or white, Christian or Muslim, or in fact any person, I would suggest that we all enjoy someone showing us a little kindness. I found the following quote from Mark Twain, and this backs up what I’ve been saying:

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see

So, as I said earlier this week, it doesn’t hurt to be kind to others, so let’s spread some kindness wherever we go. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, and can be fully appreciated by everyone.

We’re now two days on from the events in Norway that shook the world. Personally I’m still feeling very shell-shocked by what has happened there, yet my feelings are insignificant and worthless compared to those of the people of Norway, and especially those affected by the bombing and shootings.

Dear Lord,

I can’t imagine how those affected by Friday’s events are feeling right now, but I know you know. I also know that you are with all those affected and that you will help them get through these very dark days. Those affected by this tragedy may doubt you, and wonder where you were and why you let these events happen, however I pray that your grace and power will help lead them to you.

For those who have helped those affected by these events, whether police, fire & rescue, medics, counsellors etc, they have witnessed some very traumatic and horrendous scenes, thank you for their dedication to helping others. I ask that you will give all those working to help both during and after this tragedy, the strength to carry on through these difficult circumstances.

Thank you Lord for always being there for all of us particularly during the darkest times in life,

Amen

My thought and prayers will continue for those affected by the events in Norway, I ask that you too will pray for the people of Norway. Thank you.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace
Whose mind is stayed on Thee.
Marvel not that I say unto you
You must be born again.
Though your sins as scarlet be
They shall be white as snow.
If the Son shall set you free
You shall be free indeed.
