Time to shop

Are you someone who likes or hates shopping?

Maybe it depends what you’re shopping for, or whether you’re shopping online or in person?

When it comes to shopping in person, I can’t say I’m a fan. I just want to get to shop find what I’m looking for as quickly as possible and get out of there! And that includes food shopping, clothes shopping and any other kind of shopping.

It’s food shopping I hate doing most. All that wandering up and down aisles, getting blocked by, or bumped by other people’s’ trolleys – I really do detest that!

When it comes to online shopping, that’s a different story – I browse from wherever, for however long I want, without worrying about whether it’s going to rain and I’ll get soaked, or whether it’s cold outside.

So for me, if I really must shop, I’d rather do it online. How about you?

Road SignSigns by Michael W Smith

You’re weighed down with regret
You can’t see the road ahead
Or the burden on your back
It seems the trek will never end
The winding paths that still descend
And up above a sky washed black
You just can’t bear to look at that

Chorus:
Follow the signs
Open your eyes
Read between the lines of what you see
Look into the soul of reality
Open your mind
Look at the signs
Never look back at yesterday
Keep your gaze steady on the narrow way

Now you’ve found the sacred tree
You kneel upon the broken wheat
You watch your burden fall away
And all the things that you once sought
Now are counted less than lost
For now you see the light of day
The signs were pointing all the way

Repeat chorus

Follow the signs
Follow the signs
Open your eyes
Look at the signs
Open your mind
Follow the signs

Repeat chorus

What signs are you following?

Me, I’m following God’s directions for my life. Yes, there are many times when as the above song says:

You’re weighed down with regret
You can’t see the road ahead
Or the burden on your back
It seems the trek will never end
The winding paths that still descend
And up above a sky washed black
You just can’t bear to look at that

However I’ve learned from past experiences when I tried to go it on my own, that I will not get through it on my own…I needed God then, and I need God now. That is why, I’m urging you to follow the signs which lead to God. Follow the signs to His cross and bow before Him, giving your all to Him.
