Journey

Journeys can be exciting things, particularly if you’re off on holiday, going to see someone you’ve not seen in a while, or maybe start a new chapter in your life. That may also mean that a journey can be slightly scary, making you apprehensive about reaching your destination.

There’s one journey we’re all on that we need not be apprehensive about, and that’s our journey through life. We need not be afraid during life’s journey as God is with us, always!

Our life is not about finding God, it is about journeying through life with God by our side.

We all want to be treated with respect don’t we. How we treat others can often influence how others treat us. So make sure you treat others the way you want others to treat you…lead the way.

I’m not sure that when in the middle of a struggle I would agree that ‘I strengthen’. However having said that I know that when you look back on times when you’ve found it hard to see a way through, it’s then you realise just how strong you really were!

In doing that, you then understand yourself and what you truly believe better than you ever could if you never experienced any difficulties in life.

So even if you’re struggling just now, try to stay positive, as you can find the strength to get through these days because you are a strong person, and God is always with you.

Journeys aren’t always about where you’re going, but who you are going on that journey with.

If you’re on a journey with God, you get the added benefit of knowing that by the end of the journey you will be a different person. That’s because if you keep God by your side throughout that journey, He will change you, and make you into a better person.

It’s not only physical wounds that can cause great pain – Emotional hurts and wounds can be just as painful, and in some cases, can be longer lasting.

While physical wounds are often visible, the emotional ones are invisible. People walk around everyday with emotional pain that we never see, and therefore are not aware of.

To heal an emotional wound, it sometimes just takes someone to show compassion, An act of kindness towards someone can be the one thing that makes someones day, and help them put to one side, even just for a few minutes, their emotional pain.

So go on, make a kind gesture to someone today, you may just make their day!

Sometime life can get so busy and stressful that we forget just how blessed we actually are.

God has provided each of us with many gifts and talents, though when we’re so busy and overstretched we can forget just how many gifts God has given us.

So in the busyness of life, make sure you make time for yourself, so you can remind yourself just how blessed you are with the gifts and talents God had given to you.

We all like to be in control don’t we? However I’m just as sure that we’re all guilty of wanting and trying to be in control of things which really we have no chance of achieving.

Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t. ~ Steve Maraboli

We can be so much more effective if we choose to take control of the things we have some power over, so choose carefully what you take control of, otherwise you will be disappointed when you fail.

take control

When you hold a grudge, you want someone else’s sorrow to reflect your level of hurt but the two rarely meet.~ Steve Maraboli

Does holding a grudge against someone actually achieve anything other than continuing the hurt you feel as you constantly remind yourself of what the person said or did to hurt you. Therefore put your grudges aside, forgive and move on, as life is too short to hold grudges.

Are you a resilient person? When things get tough, do you find a way to get through those difficulties?

Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient. ~ Steve Maraboli

As Steve Maraboli says in the above quote, everything we have to face is life, really does make us stronger and defines our character. What would we do without facing life’s difficulties!
