I came across the following quote recently, and it’s stuck in my mind:
We can stand affliction better than we can prosperity, for in prosperity we forget God ~ Dwight L. Moody
It’s true isn’t it, when life is going well, we can be so caught up in all that’s good in life, that we forget about God, even forgetting to thank Him for those good times. However when life throws some difficult situations our way, that can be when we turn to God, expecting Him to fix everything.
Sadly these are a situations many will recognise, but are ones we need to change if we are to fully live our lives for God. We must make sure we keep God at the centre of everything we do, during the good days as well as during the more difficult times.
