Your Pilot By William J Shannon

If your way is dark and full of doubt
Let Jesus be your pilot,
He will surely bring you out
Your path may be steep and narrow,
But Jesus waits to welcome you home.

There a robe of white is waiting
And a crown that you will wear;
Where sorrow never enters
And our Pilot never parts.

We can all make the most of each opportunity which comes our way, though sometimes we can find it’s outwith our own reach, but these are the times we must fully rely on our Pilot, Jesus.

Even when we haven’t been presented with an opportunity to move forward, we can still need help from out Pilot because life can be very tough to cope with a times – Situations and people come our way which can cause us to question ourselves, our decisions, our future, and sometimes even our faith or beliefs. These are times we must put our full faith in our Pilot, because he is always by our side, to guide us through the journey known as life.

Guide Me Home

Now the wind has lost my sail
Now the scent has left my trail
Who will find me, take care and side with me
Guide me back safely to my home
Where I belong, once more

Where is my star in heaven’s bough
Where is my strength, I need it now
Who can save me, lead me to my destiny
Guide me back safely to my home
Where I belong, once more

Who will find me, take care and side with me
Guide me back safely to my home
Where I belong, once more

How can I go on?
How can I go on this way

  1. Judith says:

    Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe just sing so beautifully together by complimenting each others singing styles.

    One of my favourite chorus’ in the SA songbook says
    I have a pilot who guides
    night and day;
    Through cloud and sunshine I trust him,
    come what may.
    Dangers may threaten but I never fear;
    I’m full of confidence while he is near;
    I have a pilot who guides me
    Along life’s way.
