Choruses

Last week at our band practice when a particular piece of music was brought out, it suddenly reminded my friend who sits beside me, of an old chorus she used to sing in the Sunday school. It was s chorus which I remembered too, but one neither of us had sung for years.

Isn’t it sad when songs and choruses that were obviously favourites at one time, are now all but forgotten?

Yes I like s lot of the more modern songs and choruses but there’s still something about some of the older choruses that makes the just as powerful if not more powerful than some of the more recent ones. Maybe it’s the fact that we used to do a actions to a lot of the choruses in the past, but that doesn’t seem to happen anymore.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about the songs and choruses you use in your worship these days, so please submit your comments to me.

Here’s one chorus we used to sing a lot (we still do, but not nearly as often), but it’s words are still ones which I hope are still true in my life and in yours today and always…
