Saved

Psalm 18:16-19 (The Message)

But me he caught—reached all the way
    from sky to sea; he pulled me out
Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos,
   the void in which I was drowning.
They hit me when I was down,
   but God stuck by me.
He stood me up on a wide-open field;
   I stood there saved—surprised to be loved!

“Surprised to be loved”, is that you? Do you believe you deserve God’s love? If not, why not! God loves everyone, unconditionally.

What does God want in return from us? He wants us to be saved – but what does that mean?

To be saved means:

To rescue from harm, danger, or loss.
To set free from the consequences of sin; redeem.

i.e. Put your faith entirely in God. Trust Him for everything you need today and everyday.

God sent His Son to earth where He died a horrible dead on a cross, just so that you and I could be forgiven of all our sins – so we could be saved.
