“Thank You” – two small words we can say without realy meaning them. They are also two small wods which when said from the heart can mean the world to someone.
When someone says thank you to you, how to you feel when it’s obvious they didn’t really mean it? It canbe hurtful particularly if you’ve put in a lot of effort as it’s as if the person saying thank you has not appreciated what you’ve done. Sometimes in these situations it can feel as if it may have been better if the person hadn’t even tried to say “Thank you”.
On the other hand, when someone says “Thank you” to you and it’s so clear they mean it sincerely, it can be exhilarating…it can mean the worldto you, to know someone has appreciated you. I personally always find it particularly moving when someone says “Thank you” for someone which you were not expecting to be thanked for. e.g. When you’re just doing your job. That said, it is still very nice when people thank you for “just doing your job”, it shows you’re not being taken for granted.
So we all like to be thanked for what we do, but do we thank others for what they do for us?
How about God? He does so much for each one of us every day, but do you thank Him regularly? We should.
God loves us, and He loves when we appreciate what He does for us, so thank Him for all he does – Please say a prayer of thanks to God today (and every day), for all He does for you.
