Immediately

We live in a world where we expect everything to happen instantly. For example:

– We can shop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without even going outside by shopping on-line.

– We can speak to someone on the phone, no matter where we are or where they are as the majority of us all have a mobile phone.

– We can do all our banking on-line without even visiting our local bank

– We can order a takeaway meal on the phone or on the internet

 

Is it any wonder we expect God to answer our prayers immediately!

  

If someone asks you something, do you always jump straight in there and offer a response, or do you consider how you wish to response before replying to them?

 

I’m sure there are times when you do answer the person immediately, but I’m also sure there are more times when you do not answer immediately, but instead spend time considering your response before sharing that response.

 

This is exactly why we shouldn’t expect God to answer our prayers immediately, as we wouldn’t do that ourselves! We need to take a time-out from the busyness of everyday life, spend quality time with God. Not only that, but we must allow God time to answer our prayers and requests, because we can be assured that God will answer our prayers – What we must always remember is that God may not answer our prayer immediately, but He will answer it; He may not answer it in the way we expected or wanted, but He will answer it.

 

God will always answer our prayers.
