Proud To Be…

 Take a few moments to consider what you are proud to be

• Parent/grandparent?
• University graduate?
• Home owner?
• Role model?
• Debt free?
• Scottish? (or whatever nationality you are!)

What about being proud to be…a Christian!

There are still many places in this world where people are persecuted for being Christians. Would I be will to be proud to be Christian if I lived in one of those places? Tough question, but one I hope I could say yes too, however I know if actually put in that situation, I may be so positive in my faith.

Having said that, I know that the only way I can ever truly say in every situation that I am proud to be a Christian is if I continue to try to live my life for God, as He alone can give me the strength and the assurance that I can always stand up for God.

God is our strength and through Him we can be strong in every situation we find ourselves. We may not ever suffer persecution because of our faith, but that doesn’t mean we will never face situations in our life when it would be easier to den God than stand up for Him.

I pray today that I may continue to put my trust in God for all I need. I pray that you may also put your full trust in God to keep you strong in all situations you face.
