How have you celebrated this Valentine’s Day?
For me it’s been much like any other day – hubby was working, I’m still off work so went to visit my aunt and then spent some time with my Mum and Dad, before coming home in time to spend the evening with my hubby.
We’ve been married for nearly 17 years, and I must admit we’ve never really “celebrated” Valentine’s Day particularly. We’ve always felt that we should be letting the other know every day of the year how special they are to us, that we shouldn’t need to do something special one day a year.
I hope we don’t take one another for granted, though I think that’s unlikely as we often tell one another how much we love one another and how much we appreciate all they do.
We love one another more today than each previous day!
As well as my hubby, I also try to make a point of telling the other people who are important to me and I love, just what they mean to me, because as I said in my blog post on Saturday, Memories Aren’t Forever I tried to remind you how important it is to tell your family and friends just how much they mean to you, as you never know when you’ll never get the chance to do so again. I hope you have taken my comments on board from Saturday.
Please share some Valentine’s Day love not just with your husband/wife, partner, boyfriend/girlfriend, but also with all your family and friends…in other words share some love with all those you care about, today and everyday.
