Ever noticed how you can be dead on your feet but when you go to bed you’re suddenly wide awake and unable to sleep because so many things are going round and round in your head.
Why do we have night’s like this?
Maybe it’s because during the day we’re just running on adrenaline and emotions, and don’t get a chance to stop and think all we’re coping with or all that’s happening. However when we go to bed, we are not focused on anything other than the quietness around us so our brain goes into overdrive – we relive every conversation of the day and remember ever “conversation” we had with ourselves.
Times like these can be tough because when we’re coping with a lot of things going on in our lives that’s when we need our sleep more than ever, however it’s also the time when we find it hardest to “empty” our minds of all our thoughts and fears when we try to sleep.
If only our brain was like a car and we could turn of the engine so we could sleep/recharge before restarting our engine (brain) when we awake in the morning.
