How many times have you heard someone say, “A baby changes your whole life”?
I’ve certainly heard it said many times, but how do you think that makes the parents to be feel? Terrified? Thrilled? Anxious? Excited?
Well imagine how Mary felt when God told her she was going to have a baby, and not just any baby, the Son of God!
I’m sure she was terrified but I’m also sure she felt very humble that God had chosen her out of all the hundreds and thousands of people on earth, He chose her to Jesus’ Mum. Wow!
What a huge responsibility Mary had placed on her, especially as Mary would have known that the child she was going to give birth to would have a huge impact on this world, an impact that we’d still be talking about and celebrating thousands of years later.
What a difference one small child made in this world!
