Are you one of those people who gets nervous during uncomfortable silences?
Or are you one of those people who tells everyone around you everything you’re doing or have done?
Silence isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because it give others the chance to evaluate and consider what is being said or done. This is reflected in a quote I read recently from Henry J. Kaiser:
When your work speaks for itself, don’t interrupt!
When we’re good at what we do, it shouldn’t always be necessary for us to back up our actions with words, so be careful you don’t distract others from your good work by interrupting and talking constantly.
