The above verse from scripture is not just referring to our physical wounds, but our emotional and spiritual wounds too.
Sometimes, we can find that it’s the emotional hurts that cause us the deepest of wounds. Sometimes, our physical wounds become invisible long before our emotional scars.
Sometimes it may even be spiritual scars which are the hardest to heal. e.g. We may feel God deserted us when we needed Him most.
God can and will heal your ever wound, but He will leave the scars. Why? Point of Grace explain perfectly in their song Heal the Wounds:
Heal the wound but leave the scar
A reminder of how merciful You are
I am broken, torn apart
Take the pieces of this heart
And heal the wound but leave the scar
So there’s only one way to heal all your wounds, turn to God, or if you’ve previously turn away rom Him, re-turn to Him, He can heal all your wounds.
