I’ve been asked several times in the last week why I sometimes blog about such personal things like my feelings and emotions. Well there is a simple answer, I do it because I think it is important that others going through similar experiences, know they are not alone.
I know from my own experiences that when we are facing difficult situations, it can often seem like no-one else really knows or understands how you feel. I found it such a relief on several occasions when others privately told me they had experienced, or were currently experiencing what I was – It was simply good to know I wasn’t alone.
Our feelings and emotions or if you like, our mental health, are often things which people shy away from, and are almost embarrassed or ashamed to talk about. However, again from personal experience, I’ve found that it can often amaze you when certain people who you never ever would have though faced difficulties/struggles in their life, confide in you.
My aim in my blog posts when I’ve shared some of the struggles (e.g. in my recent post My Struggle – Faith of Family Members) I’ve been facing in my life with my emotions, has been to reassure those of you facing similar struggles, that you are not alone, and your experiences are not unique.
My hope is by sharing some of my experiences I can offer even a little bit of help and reassurance to someone who is struggling with all life has thrown their way.
I think blogging about your emotions and personal feelings is the way to go. You get to know a small piece of someone, it’s amazing.

I completely agree. On top of the satisfaction of helping others, It is such therapy to verbalize your thoughts, being vulnerable is something that most people are incapable of. Xxx
