So many people spend their time trying to be better than their neighbour, their work colleagues, or their friends, when if God is at the centre of their life, we should simply be trying, as the above quote states, to be better than ourselves.
After all, the only person we should be trying to emulate is Christ, as no-one here on earth comes close to the person Christ is.
So make your today, better than your yesterday, and your tomorrow better than your today.
