Written in red

Over the years I’ve come across a number of song which talk about Easter, and which reflect what Easter means to me. However in the last few years there has been one song which has had a very powerful impact on me, and that is the song Written In Red. Here’s The International Staff Songsters of the Salvation Army performing this song, please follow the words in the  video, as you listen to this beautiful song:

I love you, I love you
That’s what Calvary said.
I love you, I love you,
I love you, written in red.

Isn’t this the greatest story about love that you’ve ever heard? Who else have you ever heard of who has loved each of us so much that they were willing to die for us, for you and for me?

Jesus gave his all for me, and for that I will forever be grateful, and be forever in His debt. That is why for me, Easter has far for significance to me than any other time of the year, including Christmas. I am overwhelmed by the knowledge that Jesus died to save me…

What can I ever do to repay God, for giving up his son for me? I can give Him my heart, my life my all.
