We all need some encouragement sometimes don’t we. Well here’s some words of encouragement from the Psalms:
The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you (Psalm 9:9)
There are some people who outwardly always seem to be happy, but have you considered that that may simply be a front they are putting on when in public? Everyone needs encouragement so whether it’s just a case of saying it’s nice to see someone, or telling them how well they have done a specific task, or telling them how much you appreciate them, those words of encouragement could make a huge difference to someone.
When someone encourages you, how does it make you feel? It lifts your spirits doesn’t it?
So today I’d like to encourage you to make a commitment to say words of encouragement to at least one person each day, because a few words of encouragement to someone in need of a lift, may just give them the strength and support they need to carry on.
