There are many people in the world who believe that all their problems would be solved if they had money, because money is the answer to everything. I find that quite sad, as while having some money can provide us the food and shelter we need to survive, it cannot provide us with the personal characteristics we want to possess.

So here are 10 things money cannot buy which I believe are characteristics we should all strive to possess:

  • Love
  • Faith
  • Character
  • Integrity
  • Compassion
  • Trust
  • Common sense
  • Respect
  • Wisdom
  • Peace

Has your money bought you everything you want? Has it helped you be the person you want to be?

Don’t let money be the be all and end all of everything you try to achieve, because ultimately it cannot help you find love, grow your faith, build character or integrity, be compassionate, be trustworthy, have common sense, show respect or wisdom, or live in peace.

I think it depends on the angle you view this, it is easier to understand the importance of all those you have listed when you have money and feel hollow.
What about those who can not afford a single meal, will they think wisdom, peace and trust is more important to them?

At no point did I say money to buy a meal, shelter or clothing wasn’t important, as that would be stupid because without food and water we cannot live.
I was simply trying to make the point that personal characteristics cannot be bought by any amount of money. The characteristics I listed were just a few that for me, are important.

        I get your point.
I was trying to bring in a different perspective, what I believe is we need first to have a civilized society with at least basic needs before we can attain things like peace.
Back to your point it is a good reminder for those who only think about making it (money, good job) without considering other important aspects of life.

Great thoughts to reflect on! Money passes away, but these things leave a legacy.
