How to brighten your day #18

Are you looking for simple ways to encourage your heart and nourish your soul?

In the last while I’ve given you some ideas which will hopefully inspire you to implement them in your own life, and over the coming weeks I’ll share some others with you.

So here’s today’s suggestion:

Take time to encourage someone

Encouragement is something we all need at some time or another. Some will always say they are fine, and not in need of encouragement, even when that’s exactly what they need. It can be far more obvious in others that they need some encouragement, and some will even ask for help and encouragement.

In my experience it’s often those who never ask for help, and who always say they are fine, even when they are not, that are most in need of encouragement. I can also tell you that I’ve found that when I’ve encouraged someone who has tried to tell me initially that they are fine, but when I’ve persevered it’s become apparent that that person is deep need of some encouragement, that the relief and gratitude exuded by that person lifted my heart and brightened my day, almost as much as it did theirs!

So brighten your day as well as someone else’s by encouraging someone today.
