The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
What makes a person beautiful? Their looks, their knowledge, their experience, their life experiences, their faults and failures?
I guess all these things together make someone beautiful, because beauty isn’t necessarily about looks, but is about the person themselves, their character and their personality, but also their life-experiences.
Having been on a lot of work related training courses over the years, I realised very early on in my career that when a training course is led by someone who has simply read the books and remembered the theory, but has no workplace experience in the area they are teaching, they struggle to be able to give any kind of helpful advice about real-life situations. In other words, it’s best to learn from those who have experienced real-life than those who know the theory, as it’s only through actually experiencing particular circumstances you truly understand the situation and the feelings/emotions those involved will be going through.
So learn from those who have real-life experiences, as they truly understand the do’s and don’ts because they have been there themselves.
