Are you looking for simple ways to encourage your heart and nourish your soul?
In the last while I’ve given you some ideas which will hopefully inspire you to implement them in your own life, and over the coming weeks I’ll share some others with you.
So here’s today’s suggestion:
Say “No”
How many times have people asked you to do something, and although you feel you don’t have time to undertake the task, you say you’ll do it, just because you don’t want to let down the person who made the request?
We’re all guilty of putting ourselves out because we don’t want to let down a friend, but don’t we need to be more selfish sometimes for our own good?
So stop sometimes before you agree to do anything and be selfish – is it best for you to undertake a task or not? If the answer is no, tell the requestor that you can’t do the task, so “No”!
