Trust is not something that person give out after knowing someone for a short period of time. it’s something you must earn, normally over a long period of time.

Remember though, just because someone who trusts you isn’t present, don’t mean they won’t find out what you’ve said, so, as the above Nicky Gumbel quote says, make sure you stay loyal to those who aren’t present.
