How many times have you heard a mother or father say to their child, “Do as I say” or “Do as you’re told”?
Does the child always obey? No, of course they don’t! I’m sure when we were that child being told to do something we too, didn’t always do what we were told, did we?
What about when it come to God asking us to do something, are we more willing to do what God asks of us?
I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands. ~ Psalm 119:60 (NIV)
When it comes to our heavenly Father, we need to be ready and willing to firstly, listen to Him, and secondly, do as the above bible verse says, and respond quickly to all God asks us to do.
