When you build something some scratch, whether it be decorating a room, building a wall, writing a book, a computer program or something else, you feel pride in what you’ve built, and probably a little bit protective of it as well.
Likewise, when it’s something we’ve built, we are the ones who know better than anyone else how it was built and how it actually works.
Similarly, when it comes to us, the person who created us, God, knows us far better than anyone else – He knows what makes us happy; He knows what upsets us; He knows what worries us as well as knowing our talents; He knows every little thing about us.
Because God knows us inside out, doesn’t it make sense that we turn to Him for help and guidance, just as we would turn to an instruction manual when we have a problem building something.
