More sport

So we’re now down to the last 16 in the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia – The group stages gave us  moments of shock and surprise at some of the results, and others games thrilled us with the skillful play that was on show. Yes, some will already have lost interest in what’s to come in the next few weeks as their country failed to qualify from the group stage. But for those whose country is still in the competition or those true football fan, I’m sure they are looking forward to some great games, fantastic goals and some silky skills.

But as of Monday, football will not be the only sport on offer for sports fans for a couple of weeks – On Monday Wimbledon starts, so all tennis fans will be glued to their TVs as much as they can to catch a glimpse of their favourite players.

So who’s going to win Wimbledon this year? One of those who’ve won in previous years, such as, in the men’s draw, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic; or in the ladies draw Serena Williams, Petra Kvitová, Garbiñe Muguruza or Venus Williams?

But with Murray and Federer just finding their way back after injury, Djokovic going from playing his best tennis to his worst all within one match, is it really set up for Nadal to succeed again? But then it’s Wimbledon and he’s not done too well there in the last few year, is it really his time again, or will one of the outsiders rise to the occasion?

When the comes to the women’s draw, I think it’s quite open again, as there hasn’t been the one or two players who’ve dominated tournaments for a while. So a previous winner to triumph again, or will we get a new champion for 2018?

Who do you think is going to win the Wimbledon singles titles this year?
