We’re told not to judge a book by its cover, so why do people not realise the same advice applies to people too?

We shouldn’t make judgements about who or what some is by how they look. We also shouldn’t assume we know how someone is feeling, as we have no idea how they really feel or indeed, what they may be going through.

Some ‘put on’ a public face so others don’t ‘see’ how they really feel. But even they will still have days when they find ‘putting on a public face’ is too difficult. Those are the days when everyone will really know they are having a bad day!
