Have you ever been waiting for something to be delivered, and become very impatient when it doesn’t arrive when expected? In these days when we can order things on-line for delivery later that same day, I suspect we’ve all found ourselves in that situation, but hopefully not too often!
Just as we can become impatient when deliveries do not arrive when we expect them, so we can become frustrated with God when he doesn’t answer our prayers when we expect Him to, or in the way we want him to.
Shame on us for thinking that though, as God will always answer our prayers:
Mark 11:24 (The Passion translation)
This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours.
Whenever we ask God for anything, we simply need to believe He will answer our request, and God will deliver in His time – which may or may not be in the timescale we were expecting.
