So that’s it, after all that preparation Christmas Day 2018 is now in the past!
My Mum used to always say that it always seemed to take so long to buy and wrap Christmas presents and just a couple of minutes to pull off the wrapping to reveal the surprise; and day to cook and bake the Christmas dinner and less than an hour to eat it all – Despite saying this, my Mum always enjoyed Christmas, and so I hope although you may have been extra busy, and found it stressful getting everything ready, you had a fantastic Christmas Day.
So how do you feel today – shattered, exhausted, stuffed? Do you still remember who gave you what present, or even all the presents you received?
While we may have already forgotten some gifts we received as to us they weren’t important, I pray we don’t forget about Jesus just because Christmas Day is over. Christmas Day may be the day we celebrate the birth of Christ, but it’s also the day we celebrate the start of Jesus’ life, a life which he later sacrificed for us. So don’t forget Christ because His legacy is not just relevant at Christmas, but for the whole year.
