How many times have you asked, “Why do these things have to happen?”

You’re not the first person, not will you be the last one to ask those questions of God.

Habakkuk 1:2-4 (Good News Translation)

O Lord, how long must I call for help before you listen, before you save us from violence? Why do you make me see such trouble? How can you stand to look on such wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are all around me, and there is fighting and quarrelling everywhere. The law is weak and useless, and justice is never done. Evil people get the better of the righteous, and so justice is perverted.

The world can be a terrible place at times, but the don’t blame that on God, it’s man who has the free will to do whatever he wants, and it’s those acts/actions that make this world a terrible place.

Giving your life to God, doesn’t mean you become immune to bad things happening to you. Instead it means that when you go through tough times, God will be your strength and guide to get you through those difficult times.
