How good are you at waiting?

For me and possibly you too, it probably depends what you’re waiting for.

  • If you’ve got a hospital appointment and you’re waiting to be seen, you’re probably anxious or nervous.
  • If you’re waiting for delivery of a new TV, you’re probably desperate for it to be delivered, anticipating how great the picture and sound are going to be.
  • If you’re waiting for a letter to confirm a job offer, you may be anxiously looking out the window for the postman.

How about when you’ve prayed to God about something specific and are waiting for Him to answer your prayer – Are you eager to find out how God is going to answer your prayer, or anxious that he won’t answer your prayer in the way you want?

However and whenever God answers our prayers, there’s no need to be anxious or afraid, because He will answer our prayers in the way that He deems is best for us.
