Yesterday in God Knows I spoke about how, when life gets tough, we often find ourselves thinking we know what’s best for us, rather than trusting God. It can be tough to understand what is happening when life is tough, and it can be even harder to fully trust God to get us through those days.
It seems strange saying that it can be harder to trust God when that’s what I know I should be doing in every situation. However when you’re in the middle of a tough situation, you just want it to finish there and then, with a good outcome. Sadly not every tough situation can be resolved quickly, nor can every one come to a happy conclusion, and that’s what makes it so difficult to continue to have faith that God does know what’s best for us.
So when tough times come, remember it’s up to you whether you place your trust in God and drop your faith anchor, or whether you let fear take hold by letting it drop anchor. I pray that whatever I may face I will always put my faith in God, and not let fear take hold of my life, because God will never stop caring for me.
