2019 with God?

We’re now in the final couple of days of 2019. Traditionally it’s a time to look back over the year that’s almost over, and look forward to the coming year.

Today I want you to look back over your 2019 from a Christian perspective. So I start by asking you one question – Did you give God every part of your life this year, or did you just give Him part of you?

2019 may have been the year you first gave your heart and your life to God, or it may have been ‘just another year’ in your Christian journey. However no matter where in your journey you are with God you, I ask you to be honest with yourself, and with God, and take a look back over 2019 and see if there were parts of your life that you’ve kept from God this year. If so, I encourage you to make a commitment today to make sure you give every part of your life to God.

  1. Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee. Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love. Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for thee. Take my voice and let me sing always only for my king. Take my lips and let them be filled with messages for thee. Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use every power as thou shalt choose. Take my will and make it thine, it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart it is thine own, it shall be thy royal throne. Take my love my Lord I pour at thy feet it’s treasure store. Take myself and I will be ever only all for thee. (Salvation Army)

  2. All to Jesus I surrender, All to him I freely give. I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live. I surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed Saviour, I surrender all. All to Jesus I surrender, humbly at his feet I bow. Worldly treasures all forsaken. Take me Jesus. Take me now. I surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed Saviour, I surrender all. All to Jesus I surrender, make me Saviour wholly thine. Let the Holy Spirit witness, I am thine and thou art mine. I surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed Saviour, I surrender all. All to Jesus I surrender, now I feel the sacred flame. O the joy of full salvation. Glory, Glory to his name. I surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed Saviour, I surrender all.
